What would be the best engine with 200hp to put in a 2004 civic. I've heard a lot about the Acura rsx engine AKA the k20 working well in civics. Do I have to be in possession of a K20 to do the swap or do the garages have the engine in stock. Also do
K20a Is going to be the most powerful but also the most expensive. But theB18C5 is going to be more available and cheaper rated at 195 hp.

I currently own a honda civic 07 automatic coupe and i want to convert it to manual and also swap a k-series into it, and no I can't just buy an SI lol because the dang car is under my dad's name =[ I think i know the basic components needed to swap the engine , and most k20 engines online (ebay) come with a manual transmission already but i just need to know all the parts needed to fully install the engine and have it function at 100%. I don't wanna have to uninstall everyhing one day, and then go "oh crud.... i forgot to buy new brake pedals O..O" hahaha. Well thank you for taking your time to read my questions, and all tips/answers are appreciated.... besides the ppl that say "just buy a Lambo... " or "just put a big spoiler wing on it, and lots of stickers to boost pony power" hahaha. =] OK, nobody really answered the question ,so here goes. You will need the motor/tranny $4,500, the motor/tranny mounts $550, the clutch master cylinder $200, hydraulic lines $150, shift linkages $300, aftermarket intake $250, custom fuel line made $150, shifter $80, shift boot $35, center console for the interior $200, clutch pedal assembly $300, COMPLETE wiring harness from the motor $600, ECU for the K20 $300, larger fuel pump $150, and axles $300. Just in parts alone you are looking at $8065, The labor MOST shops charge to do this swap is about $2,000.Then you have to figur the auto to manual conversion too and theres anothe $1,000 at least, So you might as well figure about $11,000 to have it running correctly and reliably.
